Carla Harryman

Carla Harryman is the author of ten book of prose, plays, poetry and essays including a novel, The Words: after Carl Sandburg's Rootabaga Stories and Jean-Paul Sartre (Berkeley: O Books, 1999) and a volume of selected prose, There Never Was a Rose without a Thorn (San Francisco: City Lights, 1995). She teaches Creative Writing, Women's Studies, and Literature at Wayne State University.
