'Air of Freedom’: Poetry and National Security

Lorenzo Thomas is Professor of English at University of Houston-Downtown. He is author of several collections of poems and the critical study Extraordinary Measures: Afrocentric Modernism and Twentieth-Century American Poetry (University of Alabama Press) which has been named an Outstanding Academic Book for 2001 by Choice magazine.
